Welcome to our new blog!Posted: July 2, 2013
Hello, and welcome to the Reallyenglish blog.
At Reallyenglish, we provide online English-language courses for thousands of people all over the world. We believe that by really understanding their needs, and supporting them at every step of the way, we can help our learners achieve their language goals.
Our clients range from multi-national corporations to prestigious universities, and we work with major publishers and our own team of expert authors, editors and tutors to make sure we create the kind of compelling language-learning courses that people need. One of the results of this is an average course completion rate of 85%; that’s something we’re very proud of.
But, after over a decade in the online language learning business, we’ve never had a blog. So why now?
Why have we started this blog?
Reallyenglish was founded in 1999, and since then the world of language-learning and language-learning publishing has undergone a period of change more rapid than anyone could have imagined; that makes this a fascinating time to be involved in the industry. Very simply, we want to be able to share our perspective on what’s happening. On the one hand, we feel like we’ve learned a lot about online education over the last decade, and we’d like to share some of that knowledge. On the other, we realise how much we all still need to learn, and how much we all continuously need to adapt. We wanted to have a place to talk about some of these things, a place for you to hear what we have to say, and a place for us to hear from you.
So we’ll be writing about English language teaching, about online learning, about the world of educational apps, about learners, about teachers, about the English language, and about the future of the industry. It’s a blog about everything’s that’s important to us really. We hope you’ll enjoy.
